Welcome to Out of the Woods, a 3-hour program of mostly acoustic music which airs every Friday from 6 to 9 pm e.s.t. locally, and is syndicated on The Global Voice, a station run primarily by blind program hosts, and aimed at bringing together the blind and sighted communities (http://www.theglobalvoice.info - Sundays at 5 pm e.s.t.,  repeating at 11 pm on Mondays), and also on BOB-FM (http://www.bob-fm.webs.com/, Sundays at 6 am e.s.t.)

Tonight's show was mostly a celebration of Woody Guthrie for what would have been his 100th birthday tomorrow.  I opted to play mostly songs from others, either playing Woody's songs, songs composed using his lyrics, songs in tribute to Woody, and some from his relatives and friends.  I also managed to squeeze in a couple of sets of new music tonight as well toward the middle of the program.  Here's how things unfolded tonight:
